@natale_realtors Buyers vs Sellers – Who will win? Right now there is such an imbalance of opinion. Sellers are looking out and still seeing very little competition. Buyers simply can’t afford the prices of homes with higher interest rates. New construction, especially in our area, is almost non-existent. This is causing both parties to look at eachother like they are crazy. Buyers say to the sellers, “This isn’t 2021 anymore, the price needs to come down.” The sellers say to the buyers, “If you don’t want to pay it, go find something else. Oh wait, there isn’t anything.” This is an imbalance that happens for a few months while the market is changing. It really comes down to inventory for who will win. If inventory picks up over the winter months, buyers will get the better of the situation. If inventory dwindles, what options will they really have? Someone in a situation where they need to buy or have capitalized on the sale of their current home will pay the price. What do you think? Will buyers or sellers win?
