Discipline with your Time is Vital for Success

Discipline with your Time is Vital to Success as a Realtor It is entirely too easy as a Realtor to “do as you wish” with your time. Or just do whatever comes up. One of the best parts of a career in real estate is having the flexibility to make your schedule. It’s also one of the biggest downfalls for agents as they start their career. Especially if someone is transitioning from a different career that had bosses, quotas, and deadlines. There’s typically no one over your shoulder in real estate that forces you to get your work done. This makes keeping a schedule and sticking as close to it just as important as being disciplined with your money. A lot of people hear time-blocking and instantly feel itchy. I use a process called time boxing that boxes out periods of time throughout my day to get my work done, do the activities that grow my business and most importantly, be present with my family. There’s no such thing as a work-life balance in real estate. Not for the reason you think though. If you don’t block out your work-time, family-time, vacation-time, you’ll end up blending it all together. It’s not about a balance, but really a rigid schedule that keeps you in check throughout the day. Will life come up? Absolutely. That’s when you move your boxes around and get all the work that you need to get done, done. It’s that simple. Get disciplined with your time if you want to grow your business to heights you can’t even imagine just yet. If you’re looking to create a life that’s fulfilling, rewarding and successful, contact me today and let’s get started. I’m always looking for talented people to grow our family with.
